Challenge #5 FREEBIES!

So on all these teacher blogs I've seen some awesome "FREEBIES". The authors share their work through Google Docs. Therefore, I am going to attempt a FREEBIE and embedding the document into the post. We'll see!

Also, have been collecting fonts from here and here. They are FREE!!

Challenge #4

Ok. So maybe I got a little confused. Challenge 3 was just to create and Challenge 4 was to share that creation...Maybe. I think.

Regardless, I have to complete Challenge 4. So here it goes...

I'm not gonna lie... I struggled on this challenge. I tried so many different presentation tools and I came to a lot of dead ends.

First I went to Little Bird Tales. It took forever to upload photos. However, I really enjoyed the recording tool.

Then I tried Vuvox. It just wasn't working out for me.

When I went to look for CC photos. I didn't want to create a yahoo e-mail for Flickr, so I went to search for photos on CC. Well, it took to long as well. So I ended up at Prezi, like many of the other DPS challengers. It was so much easier and they had a fabulous feature of searching for cc approved photos! I think this is a great tool to present items to Kindergarteners. I created this penguin presentation to help my penguin unit in February.

School is just around the corner and like always my last few weeks of summer is dedicated to my classroom and things I'd like to implement. This is mostly due to my anxiety towards the upcoming school year and having to say goodbye to my summer freedom  fun.

So I'd like to share just a few of the great things I've found!

Barnes & Nobles Storytime Online Just what it says, but the person reading is the AUTHOR!! They have a great selection too! (Fancy Nancy, Kissing Hand, The Mitten, The Polar Express)

Challenge #3

I know what you are thinking! Caitlin...GAH!...where have you been?! Well I've been super busy!! Let me share with you....

Brad Pitt and I have been hitting up the summer's hottest premiers.

Big News!! I also got engaged to Prince William!! I think Princess Caitlin has a nice ring to it!!

O.K. so obviously I haven't been hanging out with Brad or Will; but a girl can dream can't she!! This website FaceinHole.com allows you to upload a picture and place your face with another body. So, I turned into Jen Aniston and Kate Middleton. Hey, I'm sold!

Students can put their face in a hole and write an article using a different perspectives. In Kindergarten my students wouldn't necessarily be able to create their own picture themselves. However, you are allowed to create your own "scenario". I am planning to use this website to put the students pictures in the hole of a ladybugs face. We will use them for center bugs!

Summer 2011

It was EXTREMELY EASY to create and it came out GREAT! I'm sure I can use this in the classroom many different ways. i bet the Kindergartners can also create their own with a teachers help.
